THE WAITOA DEPOSIT. HNCOUHAGJLNG RETURNS. Mr Strange, of Aylesbury Farm, Lower W.iitoa, is having a parcel of auriferous deposit, very siniilur in appearance to that found on Mr J. K. Smith's propetty, treated at Firth and Claike's batteiy ; a parcel of about lewt of the deposit refenod to, healed simply in berdans, gave a roiurn equal to 12s Ski per ton. (hie ton of the deposit from Mr J. B. Smiths farm, ti rated at Waioiongouiai battery, hns given a return of 12a per ton : Mr 11. H. Adam"?, tho manager, in communicating the result to Mr Smith, suid ho "was highly sntislkd, knowing that it had only had beidan treatment." These results arc very cucouraging.
