THE UNEMPLOYED IN SYDNEY.

Four men representing the unemployed waited on .Sir Henry Parkes to receive the answer which he had promised to give to a request that he would find work for the men in Sydney who are without it. The Colonial Secretary informed the deputation that he had given the subject as much attention as his other engagements enabled him to give. Certain work ab different places would be prepared for the men to enter upon at once. Sir Henry Parkes said that the general subject of the unemployed would during next week be considered by the Cabinet, and some work of a permanent character would probably be started. Contractors would undertake this work, so that all would be able to get employment under legitimate conditions.
