Paeroa, Friday. Captain "Morris, M.L.C., spent two ilays hove, in the early ]:art of this week, and during- that time wns interviewed on various matleis by some of his old constituents. Amongst other things the subject oi! treating our rcfractoiy ores was brought under his notice, and he promised to use his influence with Government in tho matter of obtaining a subsidy towards defraying the cost of forwarding samples of ore to Frieberg, Melbourne, fe'an Francisco, Swansea, or any other places where processes for ore reduction are now in operation with a view to determining the best method of dealing with thorn.
