Progress of Rational Dress.
Those who are interested in dress reform will be glad to hear that societies for the advancement of this object have been formed in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Friedland They intend to work on the same lines as the English Rational Dress Society, and as far as possible in connection with it. The formation of these societies is significant, as showing the wider recognition of the fact that women's dress in its present form is unsuited to the daily life and work of women in the present day.
" Felix," in the "Australasian," says :— " The East Melbourne Club, I am informed, intend to bring out for next season a firstclass English professional coach for young players. Lillywhite has undertaken to select a first-class man. Already a good sum has been promised towards raising the funds required to pay a really good professional. The Jolimonters themselves are, I believe, very desirous to have Briggs out if he can manage to come."
