The following nominations weie received by tiie Returning Ufficflr, Mr Hy. C v ump, on Saturday last: — John Farrell, by James Livery and A. 11. Whitehouse George Lipsey, by Jas. Lavery ami Jno. Farrell John Allen Dobson, by Robt. Harris and Jno. Farrell Patrick Dillon, by J. W. R GuilJing and John Carrie John Comes, by Moses Hotcliin anl Robt. Mackio EJward Quinn, by R. Breunan and Robt. Mackio Arthur Anthony Smith, by George Robson and Thomas Wood Thomas Wood, by Geo. Robson and James Lavery Arthur Do>vnes, by Robt. Harris and Geo. Ilobson Moses Hotchin, by A. H. "Whitebouse and Robt. Mackie Daniel Jas. Frazer, by A. H. Whitehouse and Moses Hotchin James Mills was nominated by A. H. Whitehouse and D. J. Frazer, but tho nomination was not as prescribed by the i Act, being made on different pieces o5 paper gummed together. The point being disputed at the time, the Returning Officer permitted the nomination j paper to be put in under protest, pending further enquiry, but has i since decided it was informal and could [ not be accepted. The election m\\ take place on Thursday, March 10th.
