LATEST FROM OHINEMURI. Paeroa, Last Night.
It is reported fbat a son of Mr Barnard McDonholly of the Kutikati Hotel, was drowned last evening in Uie Uretara river, I and the body discovered this morning. I The return of 1640z from the Monastery l (Karangalmke), for 23 ton's general quartz treated at liailey's plant, is regarded as first class, and equals the most sanguine expectations. It is stated the assay value of the bullion is not yet known. The next parcel to be dealt with at the same mill will be 5 tons from the Adeline, No 2 reef ; arid a good return is expected. The County Chairman received infovn?&tion to-day to the effect that Govern ment had granted £200 as a Subsidy in aid of the construction of the tramway from Railey's plant to the County track, and work will now be proceeded -with without further delay.
