HYDROPHOBIA IN FRANCE.
Dr. Colin, of Paris, read a paper before the Academy of Sciences to-day showing that the annual average number of deaths from rabies in Fiance is twenty-six, and that since Pasteur began hia course of treatment the same number of patients have died. According to official statistics the number of persons bitten bymad animals lasfc year in Franca waa 351, while Pasteur haa treatod 117 patients. Dr Colin concludes that the Pasteur system ia of doubtful efficacy, and he is alarmed for the results of virulent inoculation.
