One of our correspondents communicates to us the announcement, emanating from h German oifiicial source, that 1,500,000 of magazine riflee, of a new design, and capable of firing ten ahota in rapid succession, have already been made and are ready to be pufc into the hands of their soldiers' "which has occasioned some surprise and no little satisfaction, The satisfaction arises aot alone from the fact that their arzuy ig the first to be furnished with thi* more qfiective weapon, but aleo from the knowledge that a secret can be so well leapt in that country. Now that the matter ha? been made pnblioly known, it ia hoped that *aome of oar private firms will at once obtain large orders for the manufacturo of this J-ifie.
