WAIORONGOMAI.
Batteries. —No retorting has taken place during the -week. The battery is now running as follows : 30 head of stampers for New Find. 5 head for Colonist, and 5 for Success, the latter 5 head as soon as tha small parcel for Success is through will again resume work for Colonist. Tailings plant: 16 berdans for New Find ; and the balance for the Battery Company. New Era Battery.—A small trial parcel of 4 trucks from the Hopeful claim. (Goldsworthy and Gavin owners) has been treated at this battery during the week, the retort from which will probably take place to-day, or on Monday. The result of the various trial parcels sent for treatment to Mr G. Frasers model plant, Stanley Street, Auckland, has not yet been made known. Mr F. S. Margetts. one of the principal shareholders in this plant, has been staying at Waiorongomai for the past week or two.
