Business in the Legislative Council.

In the Legislative Council yesterday, the report of the Committee on the Cathedral* site (Parnell) was. made an order for next day. The Wellington-Manawatu Railway Debentures Validation Bill was read a second time. On, the motion ot Mr Mantell it was agreed that the Government print a vocabulary in English and Maori of the terms used in official and legal transao t ions. The Bible and Tract Society Bill was read a third time and passed. The Municipal Corporations Bill was read a third time and pataed. The Destitute Persons Act Amend* ( ment Bill was further considered in committee. Several amendments were agreed to, and the bill was reported, read a third time, and passed. The Council further considered the Native Land Administration Bill. Amendmende were agreed to, and progressreported. TheNativeLandCourt Bill was further considered in committee-. The Government Loans to Local Bodies Bill was read a second time. The Council went into Committee on the Counties' Bill, and progress was reported. Mr Reeves gave notice to move on Thursday that the report of the Rabbit Pest Committee be not agreed, to, so far as it relates to the recommendation of the Government to undertake the introduction into the , colony of the natural enemies of rabbits
