TE AROHA 4ND WAIOKONGOMAT. Battery. — Returns: For month enling 25th inst. New Find 3200z retortoJi gold, from 228 trucks. There is very little to report from the mines in the district this week. At Tui work is progressing steadily on the various claims. Stoney Oieek is attracting cousiderrble attention from the excellent prospects obtainable. At "Waiorongomai water has again become very scarce and consequently twentyhead of stampers are tiung up, the other twenty being engaged in reducing New Find quartz. A few hands are still employed in the Colonist and Galena ground. New Find. — The low level is now in a distance of 90 feet. Young Caledonian. — Trial crushing of two trucks yielded B^dwts per truck; although no gold was visible during breaking out. New Era Battery. — Both the stone breakers are now on the sites, where it is intended to fix them. The shafting for the saw bench, intended for cutting firewood for the furnace is in position, and work steadily progressing.
