Minuet and Falcon made the running the first time round, but at the slaughterhouse the second time Tim, who had been lying third, went up to the leaders, and assuming the lead a quarter of a mile from home, had no difficulty in winning by three lengths. Actress fell at the last hurdle. Dividend, £2 15s. The winner was submitted to auction, and bought in by Mr Mays for £25. Tupaki and Rosewood made good running for the first part of the journey. Yuba Bill came away half-a-mile from home, and won easily. Jn the Selling Race the Stewards met, and decided that the protest be not sustained, therefore the stake was awarded to Yuba Bill, The totalisator dividend was £3 11s.
