THE ESTIMATES.
The following are the alterations in Auckland votes :— Registrar of Electors, Coromandel, new vote, £20 ; vote for attendants and servants at Auckland Lunatic Asylum increased frcm £2331 to £2603 ; a farm labourer at Whau gets an increase of £5 ; the Deputy Registrar, Auckland, is increased from £200 to £215 ; gaolor, Auckland, increased from £320 to £330 ; clerks in Auckland post office reduced from £2 735 to £2,640 ; cadets increased from £220 to £280 ; letter-carriers increased from £1,630 to £1,740 ; messengers reduced from £120 to £110 ; assistant messengers reduced from £85 to £65 ; telegraphists increased from £2,920 to £3,047 ; counter clerks increased from £375 to £620 ; dispatch clerks increased trom £380 to £390 ; messengers increased from £504 to £566 ; cadet at Cambridge reduced from £105 to £90 ; letter carrier increased from £65 to £70 ; cadet at Hamilton reduced from £100 to £76 Country districts : " Postmaster at Kawakawa, increased to £47 ; postmaster appointed at Matamata, £10 ; postmaster at Mongonui and Ohaewai, reduced by £12 ; cadet, Onehunga, increased by £15 ; letter carrier, £5 ; postmaster, Pati, struck out ; landing waiters, Auckland, increased by £20; Cadet Deeds Department increased from £160 to £170 ; matron and servant, Howe-Street Home, reduced from £150 to £125 ; servants at Kohimarama reduced from £185 *o £160; rent and insurance, Auckland and Kohimarama, reduced by £20 ; native interpreters, Auckland, increased from £425 to £605. la Railway department : Manager at Whangarei increased by £25 ; resident Engineer, Auckland increased by £25 ; clerks, £390. Auckland Government House vote is increased by £200, and a vote of £1,000 appears for Auckland and Wellington gardens, Repairing roado and collecting tolls, Auckland, £1,895 ; struck out. In the Defence Department : - Drill instructor, Auckland, increased from £384 to £414 ; clerkp, Land Office, reducsd from £725 to £675 ; cadet appointed, £50 new vote ; compensation to Mrs Bain for loss of land in Howe-sfcreet, £312, new vote; £750 for forest ranges.
