Steamer Race.
Two of the best known Australian Hnera have just had an interesting race homewards. The Orient steamer Sorata left Adelaide eight days after the P. and 0. Tasmania. The Sorata entered Plymouth harbrur just as the Tasmania was leaving for London. She caught her up off the Isle of Wight, and arrived lirst at the deck entrance in London. By the time the Tasmania's tarn came to pass through the dock gates the tide was ebbing, and she had to go back to Gravesend and land her pas sengers there In this instance the Orient clearly scored over their great rivals.
