FEMALE DUELISTS FIGHT ON THE FIELD OF WATERLOO.

A Huol was fought on the field of Water00 on March 25, tho contestants being Mmc, Valsayre, a native of France, and Miss Shelby, an American. The duel was the result of a disputo as to the relative merits of French and American female doctors. After a stormy altercation between the disputants, Mme. Valsayro threw her glove in Miss Shelby 'B face, and a duel was forthwith arranged. The weapons were swords. Miss Shelby was slightly wounded on one arm. The four seconds were Americans, They expressed themselves as satisfied that the duel had been conducted fairly, and that the honour of France had been upheld.
