CUSTOMS REVENUE RETURNS.
Wellington May 3. The Customs Revenue collected in the Oolony for April last was £108,631, as against £114,446 for the corresponding month of 1885. The amounts collected at the principal ports were : — Auckland, £25,548 ; Wellington, £21,513 ; Lyttelton and Chris fcchurch, £17,170} Dunedin, £24,737. The beer duty collected in the Colony for April last was £4,499, while the amount for the corresponding month of 1885 was £4,792. The amounts collected at the principal centres were :—: — Auckland, £1,017 ; Wellington, £431 ; Christchurch, 837 ; Dunedin, £950. In all cases shillings and penoe are omitted.
