Cerise and Blue went to the front at the distance post, and came home a length in advajnee of the field. Nelson finished ninth. • Time, 3inin. 30|secs., being the fastest time on record for the Cup, and a quarter of a second faster than when Direbin won in 1882. Mr D. Cooper's Blairgowrie won the Champagne Stakes, beating the Hon. J. White's Volcano, Kingsgrove, and four others. The Sapling Stakes fell to Dividend.
