Child Drowned in Canterbury.
During the storm of yeaterday two Vlrtd — aged^respeotively eleven and Beven y&irfi —the children of Jqh'h May, Little Ak'arjL were washed aWay, in the, creek. ,Tha youngest was found drowned at half-papl three p.m., but t tb,e .other t was found about five o'clock, jammed by, a log,< alive. Shcj is now, apparently, all right. Much damage has been jdone to buildings, an^ culverts in the Akaroa district. i
