TS AROHA SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
Tub monthly meeting of the Te Aroha school committee was held on Wednesday evening last, in the schoolroom present : Messrs J. P. Vause (chairman) Dobson (secretary), Ilott. Hetherington, an 1 Maclrie. Minutes of the previous meeting were first reaa and confirmeil. Resolved, "That the schoolmaster, Mr Hiarsden, be written to, requesting him from this time to allo>? no horses within the school»rounds." JResolved " That a fortnights holiday be granted the children at Easter commencing witli Good Ftiday, instead of a week at Easter, and another week at mid-winter as here to fore." Resolved, " That the schoolmaster be written to with respect to the number of panes of glas9 b. ini* constantly broken, which the committee are of opinion must be due to great carelessness on the part of some of the children, requesting Mr Marsden to endeavour to ascertain thenames of the offenders so that they may be charged with the cost of repairs." Several accounts were passed for payment.
