Mr Dalryrnplo, chief engineer, identifies the body of No. 1 as that of Robert lrvino, firoman, about 45 years of age, single, belonging to iSewry (Ireland), and who had been in the Taiaroa for 14 months. He also states that tho body supposed to be that of Mr Stratfoid, engineer, and on whoso body was found a considerable amount of money, could not be him, as Mr Stratford had only a pound or two. The carpenter states that if No. 3 is the man who relieved Jones, his name is McPheo, a married man with two children.
