SPORTING NEWS. Henderson's Mill Turf Club Meeting. Auckland, March IS.
The annual meeting held in connection with the above Club yesterday was most successful. At least there could not have been less than 1,500 spectators present, and all of the races were got off without a hitch or protest of any kind. All the officials of tho Club worked hard in their respective offices, and the Secretary, Mr W. W. Robinson, deserves more than a word of praise for the very efficient manner in which ho carried out his onerous duties. Owing to our feathered messengers not being on their best behaviour, we were only enabled to publish the result of the fitst race in our last evening's it-sue, and we now subjoin the conclusion of our report : — Maiden Plate of 30sovs ; second horee to receive 5snvs out of the stakes.
