The Next Loan Not to Exceed a million and a-Half. Wellington, March 23,
The explanation of the letter to the "Times," written by the Agent-General, is as follows : — The Colonial Treasurer cabled to him, " If we borrow this year, it will not exceed a million and a-half, in eluding the trunk loan." Doubtless it was this the Agent-General communicated to the "Times."
