Mr LaMonte lodged in the Bank of N<*\y Zealand on Wednesday evening, as the result of smelting opot.itions for the previous sixteen days, llao'ozs lOdwts bullion, which has been lofined. It is estimated to contain about one-third gold, the remainder being silver, which would make the (iguies — s-old 386ozs, at £4: pel ounce, B iii5 >i ; silver, 772ojis at -is per ounce, iil54 bs ; or a total value of about £1698 10s.
