Percy Cook was brought up, charged with obtaining- money by means of a valueless cheque for LI from Mr 11. S Biown, hotel keeper, Alornn»ville Prisoner pleaded multv, an I was sentenced to three months imprisonment in Mount "Rldeii Goal ; sentence to run concurrently with that passed on prisoner on Saturday last, His Worship remarking that the sentence then passed on prisoner was exceedingly heavy, seeing that it was apparently the first offence lie had ever been charged with in Court. Sergeant Emerson applied to have priboner remanded under a warrant to Te Awamutu or a somewhat similar charge, with respect to a cheque for L<j given by him.
