The Autumn Meeting of the Dunedin Jockey Club commenced to-day. The weather is dull but fine. The course is in splendid order, and about 3,000 spectator* were on tho course when the proceedings began. Temuka and Garibaldi altornately led for a mile till the latter fell at the last hurdle, interfering with Kingask, Mayboy came with a rush at the last hurdle, winning by three quarters of a length. The winner was protested against for running round the hurdles, and the stakes were awarded to Trapper. Totalisator dividend, £11 9s Gd. Time, 3min, 4saec. The Champagne Stakes of 250sovs. with a sweopßfake of lOsovs eaoh added, for two-year-olds. Colt*., 88t 101b ; fillies, Bst 71b. The eecond horae to receive 20sovs from the stakes Six furlongs. Mr P.
