RIOTS IN LONDON. ANOTHER HOSTILE MOB INVADES THE CITY. Great Excitement and Uneasiness. (REUTERS TELEGRAM TELEGRAMS.) London, February 10.
There was a considerable amount of excitement in the city and southern suburbs this afternoon, when it was rumoured that a hostilo mob wa<? marching in from Greenwich and Deptford. The rumour proved correct, but the majority of the shops were closed, and hundreds of extra policemen wore stationed at various points, and whorever groups of " roughs" congregated. The evonts of the last fowdays have given rise to a very general feeling feeling of uneasiness among the residents of the metropolis, and special precautions aro boing adopted by the authorities to preserve order. London*, February 9.' — The Government will prosecute the leaders of the riot, which took place after the meeting of unemployed.
