Tho formal burial of Ricl took placo on the morning of Dec. 12 at St. Bonifaco Cathedral, Winnipeg. A large number of friends and halfbred sympathisers wore prosont. Requiem mass was celebrated by Father Dtigas, assisted by the clergy. Archbishop Tache occupied tho throne. A largo number of English-speaking people were also present, but merely out of curiosity. There were no signs of any interference or diatui'bance. Somo speculation is rife on account of the Quebec Citadel garrison having been increased to 150 men.
