There is an increasing opinion that a revival of trade, which has been so depressed lately, is imminent. Mr Garrick, Agent-General for Queensland, is on a vieit to Copenhagen on an emigration mission. It is reported that the loss on the Inventions Exhibitions will amount to £16,000. London, November 26. — The weekly returns of the Bank of England give the proportion of reserve to liabilities at 46 per cent, and the total reserve in notes and bullion amounting to £12,900,000. There are signs of trouble in Spain. Sir John Gorrie has been appointed Chief Justice of Trinidad. Madrid, Nov. 25. King Alfonso died of dysentry to day.
Madrid, Nov. 26th.— The bpanish Ministry has resigned, and a Liberal Cabinet is being formed. It is reported that Princess Mercedes, eldest daughter of the late King Alfonso, has been proclaimed Queen of Spain, under the regency of her mother, the Dowager Queen Christina. Madrid, November 27.— The death is announced, at the age of 75, of Marshal Serrano, formerly President of the Spanish
Republic. Madrid, November 30. — The remains of his late Majesty King Alfonso were interred in the Palace of the Escurial yesterday. The funeral ceremony was of an imposing character, and was attended by a large number of people of all degrees.
