ACCIDENTS.

Saturday evening a serious accident happened to Mr Jas. f Wiseman, a wellknown resident in the Aroha district, and at present contractor for extensive diainage works on both the Auckland Agricultural Companys (Waitoa) and Morrin and Studholme's (Morrinsville) stations. It appears Mr Wiseman left Waitoa early on the evening in question, and was proceeding towards the men's camp on the Auckland Agricultural Company's station in company with some others, when he offered to take up one of the party (a man named Cribb) on his horse behind him, which offer was accepted, and all went well until the horse jumped off aside track they had been riding along on to the road, when both th» men were thrown heavily, Wiseman coming head foremost with grpat violence to the ground ; Cribb escaping iwith a severe shaking. The force of the shack completely stunned the unfortunate . horseman, who commenced bleeding from both his mouth and ' ears'.
