Melbourne, Nov 7. The last day's racing of the V.R.C. Spring Meeting took place to-day at Flemington. There was a good attendance of the j public, and the various events were well contested. Results :—: — Caxtebbury Plate, a sweepstakes of lOsovs each, 2ft, with 375 added ; the second horse to receive 190eovs out of the stake. "Weight-for-age. Two miles and a-half . There was a magnificent struggle all the way up the straight between Trenton and Nordenfeldt, which resulted in Trenton winning a desperate race by a short neck. Time, 4mins. 39|secs. The V.R.C. Hem us won the Mares' Produce Stakes, Arsenal second, and Ringmaster third ; the Flemington Stakes fell to Damodes, Free Handicap to Cerise and Blue, and the Steeplechase to Lizette.
