Colonist.— The quartz from this mine still shapes for a payable return. Galena (late Lucky Hit). — Two test parcels of quarts are being broken out fro*m this claim. Lone Hand. — The drive is now in 60ft, and it is expected to cut the reef at 80ft. A leader was cut this week showing a little gold. Silvbr King. — This claim continues to look well for silver, a little gold is also to be seen. ■ A crushing is being got out for treatment at the Thames. Silvek Queen. — Two men are employed breaking out a crushing. The quartz shows a little silver and also j gold.
