A Woman Charged With Murdering Her Husband.
The police received information of the death of a man named William Adams, a labourer, of 5, Cuba-street, Millwall. It is stated that quarrelling was heard in the de» ceased man's room, and that blows were struck. A doctor was sent for, aud an examination of the body showed that the deceased had been stabbed in the chest in several places. The wife of the deceased was questioned, and she made several statements. As it was believed that she had stabbed her husband, she was taken into custody, and charged with causing his death. When at the Poplar police station the prisoner was examined, and it was found that she had been violently assaulted^ There was a lnrge bruise on her head, evidently caused by a kick, and she had also a blaok eye. The accused, who made no anawec to the charge, was remanded.
