The following aprears in to-night's Star :— " To the electors of the Taunmga district : Gentlemen, -It is with extreme regret I have learned of the critical condition in whu- 1 Mr John Sheehan at present lies. Under the circumstances you will agree with me it would be ungenerous to further proceed with my action for declaring the election void. 1 have therefore instructed my solicitors to stop proceedings. — [ am, yours, — Wm.
