For tho second day of the South Cante»bnry Jockey Club's races there was grand weather, and a kirger attendance than on tho previous day. Results :—: — Timartt Steeplechase of lOOsovs., 3i miles. — Korr's Lin wood, list 71b (Sheenan), 1; Hobbs's Moody, list (C. Hobba), 2; Hon. Rodney Berrington, lOst 7lb (Lyford), 3. Waver! ey and Hector also ran, but both baulked at the fifth jump, and were out of it. Moody lod to the second to last fence, when he fell, and let Linwood in, who won easily. Eobbs remounted Moody, and came in second, but he was badly hurt, and became insensible. South Canterbury Jockey Cluk Handicap of loOsovs., 1^ mile.— Vallance's Sou-wester, Sst 21b (Rudings), 1 ; Major (George's Wapiti, 7st (White), 2 ; Hon. G. McLeans Lady Emma, Sst (Koan), 3. Tuncrcd's Administrator, Sst 41b (Vailc),also ran. Administrator led till entering the straight, with Lady Emma at his girths.
