SUDDEN DEATHS.
An elderly Parnell resident, named William Vaughtn, diedsuddenly to-day, after taking powder beliered to be strychnine. No cause is assigned, bat deceased is aged 76, and has latterly been childish. F. A. Clarke, a Queensland squatter, died at the Star Hotel this morning 1 from an overdose of chlorodyne. Deceased was on his bridal tour. Brtcklnnd reports fat cattle in usual number, but prices lower than last week, particularly for secondary quality, which ranged from 17s 6d to 21s per 100 lbs. Aged ewes brought 4s 9d each ; fat sheep, yarded in full numbers, above 2000 sold. Late values sustained. Wethers, good quality, bringing from 15s to It's each. Pigs also in excess of usual supply, but in brisk demand at 1 late values. . . •
