Battery. — There are no returns to publish this week, as no retort has taken plac<> since last issue. The battery did not start to work till Wednesday last, since wlun it has been employed us follows : 30 head stampers New Find, 5 WeraliiUo, and 5 Lord Stanley. The tailings plant has been kept fully employed during the week : 32 herdans on New Find, and 3on Premier. Yosterday of the 30 head cuishiug Now Find quartz, 20 wore employed ou general dirt, and 10 on a trial parcel.
