WELLINGTON NOTES. Wellington, March 11.
Tub Hon. MrPharayzv, M. L.C., who of late yeats has made his name so notorious in connection with general elections, has tendered bis resignation as a member of the t'pper House. The hon. gentleman is upwards ot eighty years of age, and there is therefore some excuse ior his numerous eccentricities.
Movements of Ministers. Hon. Mr «uekley leaves for Blenheim in tho course of a day or two to pursue his in ventilations into the charitable iiu-titutii.ns ot that district. Hon. Mr Ballance leaver tor N.ipier about Fiiday on business con nected uith the L»nds Depattmenf, and will be absent about a week Hon Mr Larnaoh Laves shortly on a tour of Otago goldfields, and Hon. Mr Tole will leave lor the Somh upon the return ot toir Julius Vogel to Wellington.
