A Persistent Suitor's Reward.
Miss Fortescue, the pretty actress, who recently obtained Clo,ooofrom Lcrd Garmoyle for breach of promise of marriago, has again become engaged to Harry Quilter, the bank clerk and musical critic, whom she jilted for the son of Earl Cairns. Quilter has been a faithful and persistent suitor, and renowed his offer of marriage to Miss Forte&cuo la&t summer, long before it was cortain she would ever got a farthing from Lord Cairns. It is understood, howovor, that hois perfectly willing to accept the damages as his brido's dowry.
