SUICIDE NEAR TAURANGA. A Woman Poisons Herself with Strychnine.
Auckland, January 20. Intelligence was received in town to-day iron* Tauranga-oi a painful case of suicide that occurred at Te Puke, near that place, yesterday. The victim was Mrs Qverington, wife of a blacksmith; She swallowed a quantity of strychnine about noon, and though every , effort was made %o save' her' life > by ; 'thV administration ui of onietics, .she died about four in the after* noon. Dr. Moir, of Tauranga, arrived fdi*v her death. No cause is assigned for the rash act.
