The motion being seconded by Mr Frazer was put to the meeting and carried unanimously. A Ions? discussion took place as to how. funds,, were to be raised to pay off sundry liabilities incurred for firewood, cleaning, etc., etc., over and above the amount of funds provided by the Board. It was stated that a considerable quantity of firewood (some thought quite sufficient for another winter) was still on hands both at Te Aroha and Waio»'ongomai, a much larger stock having, been provided than was found needful. This .would be a goo I assut I for the incoming Committee. Some £10 or £11 heiiitf nccnss.iry to pay off existing debts ; it was decide I to equally, j divide it by each coiumitteem&u making himself responsible to the extent of £1 10s (seven committeemen, £1U IDs), to to be raised by canvassing the householders tor subscriptions, ani paid to tiie Secretary within one week. This was unanimously agreed, to,- it being highly desirable that all debts incurred duriuyr tiie. year should be pail (iff before annual election of new members. ' The expenses connected with cleaning have been unusually high this ye«r. We have no doubt no difficulty will be e,xperienee.l in raising so small a sum, as every parent will lie willing to subscribe a trifle in order to raise the amount required.
