A THEATRICAL NOVELTY.

London, November 17.— The theatrical public is curiously awaiting the production of the new opera-bouffe, "The Grand Mogul," at the Royal Comedy Theatre, Tuesday night. The sensational feature of the piece will be the introduction of real snakes on the stage. Miss Florence St. John is the heroine, and takes the part of a snake-charmer. In one act she brings on the stage two large serpents, genuine cobras de capillo, and twines them about her arms, her neck and her waist, talking to them gently, and at last pretending to kiss them. Of course their poison glands are extracted, but persons who have seen the performance at the rehearsals declare it to be a horribly suggestive and flesh -creeping sight. The question is, Will it take, or will it be hissed off the stage ?
