PETITION RE TRAMWAY.
A pf.tition, as under, requesting Warden Kenrick to sanction the Piako •County Council lensing the tramway as [proposal l\v them wn" pre^enteil to the Warden on Tuesday last, by Mr Howry Buttle. We understand the Warden staled on the occasion that when the new council is elected in November next if they -sliouhf determine to lease the tramway for a term of years he would not further oppose them doing so, A copy of the petition lias been handed to us for publication, a«d is as follows :-— To His Honoor Wabdrx Rbxhick.
