Parliament was prorogued to-day. The Queen's Speech expressed regret that several important measures failed to become law. The ytnte of friendly intercourse continues with the various Powers, and alludes to the resumption of diplomatic relations with Mexico. The Speech laments the failure of the Egyptian Conference and adds the Government will continue to fulfil with fidelity the duties arising out of the presence of the British troops in the Nile Valley. It believes North brook's mission to Egypt will materially aid in the steps' to be taken in that country, and alludes to the improved state of Ireland and the prospects of an abundant harvest throughout the kingdom, and concludes by announcing that Parliament be called together in the autumn.
