Jerome was brought up by Serjeant Emerson, charged with th< j larceny of several articles va'ued at £1 Is lid*, from Hie Nottingham Castle Hotel, Morrinsville, on ilune Ist. The same imlivi'iual was also charged with the larceny of two flags valued at 4(M, from tue Waikato Hotel, Hamilton, on May 80th. Prisoner pleaded guilty to both charges and for each ea^e was sentenced to one month's imprisonment in tue Thames Goal ; sentences to run concurrently.
