SIR JULIUS VOGEL He Agrees to Contest the East Coast Seat. Gisborne, May 10.
Sir Julius Voukl lias expressed his willingness to stand for the East Coast constituency if there is a general desire that he should do so. He says he has no intention of remaining permanently in New Zoaland, but the position of the colony is such that he feels he might be able to do some service in Parliament during the next few months. Probably the principal of Mr Locke's supporters will induce him to wait till the general election in favour of Sir Julius Vogel.
