Everyone seemed to be 'much pleased with the evening's entertaiiuneut. The temperance workers here have certainly every reason' to feel pleased at the steady, though unobtrusive manner in which their cause is gaining ground' ; new members are continually being enrolled, and the " bit of blue " is now worn by very many in the place. Tin movement has many friend?, and as far as w« are aware, has made no enemies ; the work having been carried on with consideration, and judgment, the promoters endeavouring as Far as possible to do what they consider their duly, without giving offence, or wounding the 1 feelings of those who do not look at the matUr in the same light. Next meeting, March 11th.
