Mk William Llucjiks, of Kopua, a gentleman of the half-caste "persuasion,'' who recently sought Parliamentary honours, is now on his way to Her Majesty's gaol at Mount Eden, whither he has been consigned for tv o months in consequence of neglecting to pay his grocery account. Hughes is labouring under the fond delusion that by undergoing this imprisonment he will escape payment of his debt. On his return he ill learn his mistake ; and the natives hereabouts will receive a most salutary lesson at the expense of Mr William Hughes
