CRICKET. Waiorongomai v. Te Aroha.

Thf deciding match between the above clubs was played at Te Aroha on Saturday last, and resulted in a win by 33 runs in favour of the Waioiongomai club, which scored 43 runs in the first innings and 55 in the second, against 32 in the first and 33 in the second • innings obtained by Te Aroha. In the first innings Steel 11 and Beeson and Scott 7 each batted well for the winners, while Parker's bowling was very effective. Parker 9 was the highest scorer for the losers, while Steel and Mason bowled well. In the second innings Mason 10 and Lawless 8 scored well for Waiorongomai, and Parker was again on the spot with the ball. For Te Aroha, Fenton 10 played steadily, but Beeson and Steel disposed of the others at small cost. The fielding of Waiorongomai in the second innings deserves mention, as it was really good, no less than 7 of the Te Aroha men being caught out. The following are the scores :—: —
