RIFLE MATCH Auckland, Feb. 4.
The above match took place at the range, Mount Eden, on Saturday. Mr W, Thomas acted as umpire for Fiji, and Mr W. Bennett filled the position of scorer. The ranges were 200, 400, and 500 yards, seven shots at each range, Wimbledon targets. There was a trying S.E. wind blowing, notwithstanding which some good scores were made. Gunner J. Parslow, of the Artillery, heads the list with the good scorn of 86 points ; Sergeant C. Taylor, Victorias, being next with 84. Some dissatisfaction is felt among the local Volunteers :.„..; at the selection of the team, it being stated that it was merely Fiji against the Auckland .Rifle Association. The following are
