OHINEMURI MINING NEWS.
This following items of mining news are f rom yesterdiy 1-*1 -* Tribune. Karangahake.— Opuratiuns have been commenced for the restoration of the fluming and other works destroyed by the lute flood, and the manager of the Hauraki mine, Mr Peter Hansen, is again at work with a full force in the mine. Everything points to this field being one of the mo-it prosperous in the district now that the Te Aroha fever is dying down. WAmr.— The battery of the Martha Extended Co. is in full work, and the mine also. The stuff being taken out is looking even better than usual, as to cleaniug up for the week on Saturday gave 200 ozs of amalgam. The battery will not clean up until the Friday before Christmas, and the yield is expected to be about 300 ozs.
